Yet funnily enough, he’s only verbalizing what a lot of people have posted on this site. Yeah, I don’t like him either but even a broken clock is right twice a day…

Colorado actually worries me, with their mobile QB and receivers.

Drake Troll is a hack and Utah hater.
Even if there’s a shred of truth to anything he says about us, he has no credibility.
I don’t click, I don’t listen.

Totally agree on the offensive game plan. It should have been almost a repeat of Ok St in leaning on the run, especially given how well Bernard was running. Seems we went away from it much too soon which puts even more pressure on IW to perform and true freshman qbs are going to make mistakes, no matter how good they are. We should have been…[Read more]

No humble brag intended here, just want to second your comment with this. I told my son before the game we would have to score more than 24 to beat Zona.
Overall Defense did its part.
Burning 20 minutes and 3 precious possessions with 3 points to show for it, that’s where we lost this game. It’s how we got behind in the score and imbalanced and…[Read more]

@Jim, it wasn’t having a big back in TT that made us red zone elite for 1 season (yes, just 1 season). It was TT’s elite vision combined with a really good OL.
Yes, TT was big, but he was 4.8 slow and mediocre after contact, not nearly as physical a runner as his size suggested. His height played a part, he ran pads high. But, TT could see the…[Read more]

Jk it’s not that serious and there’s a lot more important shi* in the world to worry about. But I did find myself hoping I’d wake up and realize that game was a sh**** dream. IMO that was the most painful loss since the 2019 Pac12 championship. You just entered the top 10, fans and national media have crowned you as the flag bearers and big dogs…[Read more]

I will admit that I haven’t watched the game yet as I DVR’d it, but having said that, here’s a potentially unpopular take on the loss to AZ after reading about the game and several related Ute Hub posts:
First, Utah always seems to have at least one “WTF” loss per season, with the exceptions of 2004 and 2008, and in 2008 there were games that…[Read more]

Oh come on, this is the price paid for wins. Changing diapers, going to work, cleaning the gutters is a hell of a lot more fun when we win. I’m sure I was not the only one who was happy about moving up after the Ole Miss loss and had my eye on Pedo St. Up until it went final.
This is why losses hurt. Deal with it and quit trying to minimize…[Read more]

Jim,
I think they did know what we were doing at times based on the defensive look. They seemed to know some of our calls. It happens with great preparation. The backers definitely need to accept some blame for Arizona’s success. I agree with ST. I also think the D’line, for whatever reason, weren’t the aggressors the majority of the time…[Read more]

All I can say is I’m glad I am not currently paying for season tickets. Yeah we had a bad game and it’s only one loss. Most of my emotions have faded at this point, except for the will Cam play or won’t he play, week in and week out debacle.
That was such a disaster last year, and this damn coaching staff is putting the fans through it again…[Read more]

Thanks Rick and Stbone. Always appreciate your posts. The red zone performance was bad. It’s been bad for a couple years. Not having that big back hurts. That RPO with Rising and TT was hard to stop. Rising will open the play book more.

At a high-level, we all expected a WTF loss, and here we are.
As a side rant, I hate the way Utah LB’s are coached and play, and this game exposed that technique. (The last LB that I enjoyed watching from a technique standpoint was Cody Barton). The LB’s seem to be coached to avoid blocks and quickly flow. That works IF your DL eats the vast…[Read more]
