1. Utah is really, really, really going to miss Chase Hansen.
2. Zach Wilson won’t be as agressive a runner as he was last year. If he runs with reckless abandon like he did against Utah last year, he won’t survive their first four games. BYU-P offensive coaches pulled out all the stops against Utah, that won’t be the case next Thursday. If Wilson can’t stay healthy, BYU-P is going to have a terrible season, so they will try to limit his contact.
3. Wilson had some dangerous throws into double coverage. He’s very lucky he didn’t get picked off more than he did.
4. Really surprised Wilson didn’t get injured. He took a beating.
5. Really hoping Utah coaches have a solid gameplan to defend Bushman. For some reason, Utah fans chronically underestimate him, but he is a mismatch nightmare for safeties and corners. Utah really, really, needs to find a way to limit his production.
6. I expect Jaylen Dixon to be productive against BYU-P. There was a pass or two that would have been a TD bomb, had Shelley not underthrown him. Huntley won’t underthrown him like that.
7. Corbin Kaufusi was extremely disruptive. Glad that guy is gone.
8. Shyne had a few monstrous runs, including an absolutely crucial 4th and 1, which may have been the most important play of the game. Really glad we had him.
9. The Dline imposed their will during the last half of the game. That doesn’t bode well for BYU-P, or any future opponent, really.
