For a true freshman, Daniels has played really well. He is a capable passer, and he’s slippery. But if we pressurize him early and often, he will be overwhelmed. If Daniels doesn’t have a good game, Aiyuk (who is averaging 108 yds/game and 21 yards/pass) won’t be as much of a threat. Benjamin will have his moments, but not enough to change the outcome. As someone mentioned before, Herm is the wildcard. I have a feeling Daniels is going to try too hard, and flounder in the process.

We had a lot of trouble flustering Fink, rushing four. SC’s OLine gets credit for that. Is ASUs line as good?

Yeah, I don’t think ASU’s OL is as good as USC’s OL. They have allowed 16 sacks through 6 games (#99 in the nation). And USC had 3 really good WRs, as opposed to ASU’s one. But Daniels seems calm and composed, especially for a freshman, so it won’t be easy to rattle him.

USC is the 13th ranked team in terms of efficiency. ASU is 52. Washingtson State is 5th and Oregon State is 14th. ASU’s defensive efficiency is 42nd (BYU is 52nd). This is our biggest defensive challenge to date. But that offense is just okay. It isn’t great. Only good games were against the bottom 100 defensive teams.
