Always worried to an extent. Hard not to be from our 8 or so years in this conference. Anything can and has happened to just about every team.
But I do expect our offense to do some damage. This is what I think is different about this year.
1. More talent overall.
2. Fewer people out due to injury.
3. Better offensive coaching.
4. High level of play and consistency at the QB position.
Still doesn’t guarantee 3 wins but makes me a little less worried and a little more fired up for those games.

I expect around 21 points scored between all three opponents. That is how confident I am. Arizona would be a shut out if it was at home.

Anyone know what the deal is with Tate?

wrong position…hes just not good enough at quarterback things for his good to offset the bad. Hes highly volatile given his physical gifts hes liable for a heisman level performance any week. The place and his lows are low, and frequent.
Arizona does soem stuff thats really hard to stop with well placed routes designed to find the gap created by the defenders attenton to their read option lanes. Theye got a few plays that seem almost damn near impossibl to stop JJ Taylor/Tate run threads as well as the route s that play off those. think Utah will sell out to stop that ground element of these plays and make Tate beat us with his arm, but there will probably be some space at times as a result if they/tate execute

So you are saying there’s a chance. 🤣

They’re all Pac-12 teams. Don’t take any of them seriously and we could have some issues.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
I don’t take any of them seriously and that is ok. Team will dominate them.

UCLA has allowed 200 average passing yards over the last 3 games. It shows you how much better they’ve gotten over the season.

EagleMountainUteParticipant
Stanford..model of consistency this season.
Against ASU..who just got done playing Utah. It was the WAPU or whatever it is called.
Then Colorado. Also another broken team.
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
Ok. 200 is all we need.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
UCLA allows 137 yards on the ground. Utah 56. The second best team in the Pac is Oregon at 100 yards allowed.
Also Utah is number one in points allowed at 110 fUCLA 288. It just isn’t even close on paper. Second is Oregon at 142.

That’s because they held Jack West to 143. Daniels had 260 something. Montez had 195. Seems impressive. But let’s consider who they did it against.
Stanford (for the year) is the 90th ranked pass efficiency offense. (Jack West does not have enough completions to qualify and this was his only game). They ain’t great. And West, well, he’s what third string? I wouldn’t put too much stock into that particular number.
ASU: Daniels is 32nd in efficiency. He gets 237 per game. They gave up 267. So, they did okay.
Colorado: Montez is 76th in efficiency. He gets 249/game. And they held him in check fairly well at 195.
Their one good quarterback did better than his average. But they did hold him in check most of the game.
But what have they done against QBs in the same area as Huntley in terms of efficiency? Huntley is 5th.
Hurts. Killed em. Gordon, killed that defense. Luton whooped their defense.
Their improved defense is fools gold.

Here’s a neat chart:
Oh! I looked and @equitybruin – UCLA won 2 out of 10,000 simulations. Rounded out to 0 on the chart but I thought you would want to know.
