ParticipantDoes anybody know the status of Mique Juarez? He announced a grad transfer from UCLA last spring and there was indication that he could play immediately with 2 years of remaining eligibility. However, I don’t see him on the UTES roster. I’m wondering if he didn’t clear the medical screening?

ParticipantHe was released by UCLA because of concussion protocol. He needed to pass medical screening at Utah. Could be quite wrong, but I believe his transfer to Utah occurred in May this year.
There is other history: From 2016…UCLA. Apparently, BYU was once in the mix to sign Mique.
The most recent information is in this Rivals thread: Now, Juarez will now have until spring ball of 2020, to fully heal up and there’s no question that the Utah medical staff will monitor his situation closely.
More about the hold up is shown in a paragraph in that article.
Bottom line: I believe he will join the team in 2020, but only if he is cleared to do so.
