Okay, team. First tier — Alabama!!!!!! Nobody else had as impressive a win.
Second tier, Ohio St and Michigan.
Third tier Oklahoma St. and Houston. Okay include Louisville.
Now sure Stanford, Washington, or Oregon could be in the third tier, but they weren’t as impressive as those teams listed.
I’m not buying into Colorado, they will likely get bowl eligible, but I think they still finish behind UCLA, USC and Utah in the south, though they may finish ahead of the Arizonas.
The SEC did not look good, other than Bama. Tennessee, squeaked out a win. LSU looked pedestrian. Auburn looked poor, however Clemson may be as good as billed so Auburn has the potential to make some noise. Miss St, Missouri, Arkansas, and Kentucky set up the SEC to again claim during week 11 when they play nobody that the SEC is the best conference. Well week 1 says otherwise, losses to Southern Miss, squeaking by La Tech, and losing to So. Alabama ain’t gonna get it done.
It’s how the Pac12 used to be USC and the 9 dwarfs. Now it’s Alabama and the slack jawed yokels. And ESPN will be touting Alabama’s SEC wins as better than the rest. I’d argue that however the whop ass they gave to USC puts them in the driver’s seat to the #1 seed in the CFP.
