How/why on earth did USC keep Helton?

  I knew USC's recruiting class was bad but I didn't realize it was "have to hit the LOAD MORE button on the 247 team rankings to find them" bad.

  Their boosters are angry, their stadium is never full anymore, and they let other schools completely poach the goldmine of talent that is CA.
  Granted, it’s good for Utah’s south-winning prospects for them to flounder, but the pac12 needs a strong USC. They’re our only true “blue-blood”.

  As bad as it is ( and it’s bad) the average recruite ranking is higher than the Utes.
  
  Before we dance on their grave… I’m getting the feeling 2021 is going to be a very, very good recruiting year for USC

    Smaller class size played into USCs lower ranking. As Pace pointed out their average (which to me is a more accurate measure of the class) is still very good.
