Looks like Mel Tucker is gone. Scratch Colorado off the potential Pac-12 south champs for next year (weren’t really in it anyways).

Remember Mel Tucker’s comments are halftime of the Utah game LOL. Although, the guy was building something. Colorado is going to be a mess next year. They are replacing a lot and now there staff is going to be in flux.

Mel Tucker’s comments are NOT halftime of the Utah game. Take that back!
Granted, I haven’t seen a halftime experience since 1992. Someone please verify?-

At halftime Mel Tucker was asked what the message for his team would be going into the locker room and he said that he’s going to tell his team that they have already taken Utah’s best shot. CU was trailing 17-7 going into the half, but they made Utah earn that lead so he was feeling pretty confident. The rest is history from there.

Mel at half time said something like “Is that’s all they have?” Not exact words but it was dumb.

Utes dodged a bullet having Tucker leave… He’s a very good coach who can recruite.
The Utes have a lot of things to worry about… Colorad9 should not be one of them

To be fair. CU exposed Utah’s weakness on offense in a good part of that game setting the tone for Oregon to do what they did shutting down Utah’s offense putting to test Utah’s defense. Second half a different story in the CU game. Utah’s defense was in a funk in the UO game. Not going to concede to UO being tougher than Utah. Bowl game…blah. Standard theme for most bowl games one team shows up and the other rides roller coasters and floats the river.
Bummer for CU’s football team. Their football head coach is a reminder of how good Utah has it with what KW has done and a plan for MS to take over. Shows how important it is to have guys that really want to be there.
I know it’s been said over and over. Ludwig can’t get enough credit doing what he did offensively in one year with TH. Huge props to TH absorbing a new offense in a short period of time with such success and promise for his future. Kid was so humble and driven. A great example for the young kids watching him. I honestly think TH gets drafted with the duel threat QB trend in the NFL. TH, ZM, DS, and the other kids going to Utah from Florida takes a lot of guts most 18 y/o kids would never do. Go Utes!

some of the CU fans are frustrated that the university lacks commitment to football. They don’t give football any wiggle room for non-CU academic qualifiers. Utah is on its way to having the same issue as the qualifications for getting into the U are escalating every year.

That’s what happens when you are invited to the AAU. Academic profile goes up, admission standards go up.
