      They’re simply trying to control the backlash by taking college football away from us slowly.

  Gives the teams flexibility. Not the worst thing. Hope they start close to on time.

    Mid-late September start but expect a push to start the season on time the 5th. For those schools that accommodate that (many in the NCAA and the Pac12) it provides much more flexibility to get 10-11 games in by Dec 12 with 15 weeks to play with.
    
    Fans are likely screwed but other leagues have already proven they can control the environment fairly well without fans so I fully expect football at this point.
