I think next week comes down to which team can best clean things up and play without mistakes. Finally reaching conference play and hosting USC should wake the team up and get them playing with focus and discipline. My money is on Whitt doing a better job with this than Helton.

How can such an athletically gifted team look so confused and sloppy in a 27-10 loss to seventh-ranked-but-beatable Stanford?

How can so much talent seem so lost? How can so much passion be so continually stunted and squelched?

“If we don’t play disciplined with this talent, this talent is going to waste,” running back Justin Davis said ominously afterward.

…the Trojans were marred by blown defensive assignments, strange play calling, dumb penalties and, yeah, you’ve heard all this before.

      WTF Helton?

“I was proud of the kids, the way they competed,” Trojans Coach Clay Helton claimed afterward. “They compete like that, we clean up the errors, we will be a good football team.”

And, oh yeah, it was USC that committed more than twice as many penalties as Stanford with eight infractions, including an amazing six false-start penalties in a quaint stadium that wasn’t even full and was rarely loud.

So far it’s a bad deal for USC after a 27-10 loss to Stanford

      I’m glad the non-conference crap is done, we’re 3-0, let’s get this!

Totally agree.  Even though we are 3-0, none of the teams we’ve played have the caliber of players or coaching as USC.  Not even close.  This week scares me.

Utah needs to have a perfect game offensively. No turnovers at all to win this game.

Utah defensively needs to impose its will on their offense. Max Brown has tons of issues and I like what Utah can do up front against them.

Special teams you simply can not kick it to Jackson at all.

      I’m worried. Really worried.
This week will tell us a lot. A lot a lot a lot.

My only worry is whether or not we play mistake free. We play mistake free we win. Helton is 6-6 since taking over last year. One of his best wins is against us last year. Helton is a dead man walking and the only question is if he will be fired during the season or at the end. This could be his last game. You can’t go 6-6 with the best talent in the country. I don’t even need to say he’s a s**tty coach, the proof is there. Hell, just look at how they play? The dumb ass is thinking of getting Adore Jackson involved in the offense for a spark while Juju is standing out there holding his dick all game. WTF Helton? He’s a mental midget.

USC, in my opinion, is in “hang on mode” since their aspirations are national championships and Heisman trophies. A loss at Utah ends their season. Utah is up and coming with something to prove. I feel our guys are coming from a place of strength while USC is backpedaling.

There is blood in the water and this game is there for the taking. Play well and the win is ours. I think it’s that simple.

And furthermore, Max Browne is a PENCIL NECK GEEK! … now I’m all kinds of fired up. This is going to be a long week. Glad the game is Friday.
