Just curious who people think is the most respected fans are in the pac-12 (us not included) and I guess in turn we would show who the most annoying and aggravating are
I have 11. Oregon 10. USC 9. ASU 8. Washington 7. California 6.UCLA 5. Arizona 4.Colorado 3. Oregon state 2. Washington state 1. Stanford (most respectful)
Again, just curious on people’s opinions -

Good lord. I have many stories. I tailgated with the 2 best Oregon players parents in 2009. Up in Eugene. Best tailgate experience ever. However, they wanted us to doff the Red for an after party. I’m from California. I represent Utah well in every PAC12 tailgate.
Colorado seems to have the biggest chip on the shoulder. “But, have you won a national championship yet?” Oh my.

I’d swap Washington and USC and Cal and WSU. I live in WA and both fan bases are extremely annoying.

I guess this changes based on where you’re located and people you know…I hardly know any wazzu or Stanford fans

Went to the pac12 championship game last year. We sat near where utah exited the field. Numerous Oregon fan went to heckle Utah players. I asked the Ute fans around me why they couldn’t just celebrate with fellow fans.
At the same time we talked to so very kind Oregon fans before the game. I think most fan bases have good and bad fans.

For the most part, Pac fans have been much better than MWC fans. I think MWC, probably including us had an identity crisis. You really don’t have much to say to other fans that are clearly below you. When we came into the Pac I felt all were quite welcoming, however, the first couple of years I could see Washington fans resisted considering us equals and at one time I thought Sark was part of that. Oregon fans were incredibly nice before we came to the Pac when I visited, pretty good after entry into the Pac, but I saw the most smack at the CCG and they did not let up even with the lead and the win. Still, much better than the MWC, especially the Y and Wyoming. As we do better we may see more smack because that gets under people’s skin.

The most negative experiences I’ve had with Pac-12 fans is Oregon fans. USC and Washington next. I’d guess Stanford’s fans are probably the classiest, based on intelligence.

Nationally, UW and Oregon are considered on par with Utah by those in the know as far as passion goes (the annoying fanbase feeling is mutual I assure you). UCLA, Cal, and Stanford fans are pretty apathetic unless they are winning and then the arrogance comes. Washington State fans carry an inferiority complex that causes them to posture, a lot, that bothers me personally. ASU fans can be fun but also they hate Utah like people hate a successful brother in law. Oregon State fans are salt of the earth (seriously, those guys will bum you a dip). Win or lose Buffs booze. And does the Arizona football team have fans?
USC “fans” are trash, the alums however have a healthy respect for Utah and are fun to talk the game with especially in the current state where they want the coach fired.

ASU hands down the worst fans. Next USC. I have had nothing but good experiences at Autzen so I would personally put them near the top. I can’t classify UCLA because they don’t have any fans.

ASU has a decent percentage of annoying fans, but overall, I think most fan bases in the conference have been just fine. There are always extremely obnoxious individuals(including plenty of our own) from each base though. I would say ASU fans=BYU fans with more swearing. They both think their program is more prestigious than it is and they both think they are more nationally relevant than they are.

I think the only fans I’ve had aggressively bad experiences with in person, are ASU fans. Online, you get all kinds of trash, and there are nasty fans from every team s**tting all over the place.

The worst fans are those from Oregon and USC, followed closely by Washington. They are all entitled c**ts.

Every team has good fans and bad fans in the base. My son & I had to pull some Utah fans off of a dad & his young son coming out of the Fiesta Bowl (2005) vs. Pitt. The Utah guys just heckled the hell out of that poor family after WE WON? I’ve seen some crap from Utah fans and many, many wonderful fans too.
If I had to vote? I’d say to hell with USC fans. Truly the university of spoiled children. My dad was an SC grad and felt exactly the same way about the base.

Intelligence has little to do with it. Arizona is in the top half, WSU and OSU fall lower with ASU if that is the measure. Push back from fans will come as you threaten them. Outside of the CCG the north teams don’t have us on the radar as much as the south teams. Even splitting games with USC every other year, it will be some time before they worry about us. Currently, I think we are in ASU’s way more than any other Pac team so I expect they will stress the most. Colorado, set to be our rival, hardly notices us since they have everything else to worry about as well.

Oregon at 5 and USC at 3???? Ha ha ha. I get that those programs are successful but the success does not an intelligent fan make. Oregon and USC fans are bandwagon fans. If I were to rank teams by fan intelligence it’d be a 12 way tie.

Hum, I lived there 2 years and several other places. Could not disagree with you more. I love SLC but we have nothing over Tucson.
