Radley – Oklahoma DB. SS/CB. Could be a viable replacement for Ritchie while out on a mission. Extremely talented kid…struggled a little with missed tackles and penalties but graded out fairly high overall. Kind of talent you probably don’t pass on even though you don’t necessarily have the need. Good friends with TJ Pledger.

Lucky’s bro too. Sort of a legacy add, on some level. No?!?!

Wow, thanks OnlyU! Brendan Radley?! Yea, that’s the kind of talent (high 4*) we don’t want to pass up on….love it! Giving this type of talent to our great coaching staff at Development U and undoubtebly he’ll quickly become a super star! Please keep ’em coming!!! What a great day it is to be a Ute…so excited!!

Just saw this YouTube of Lincoln Riley talking about Brendan Radley entering the transfer portal. Sounds like Radley’s been one of their biggest team leaders and Riley definitely doesn’t want to lose him. This will be a huge get for us if can land him! Go Utes!

Wow! Rivals had him listed as a 5-star kid, 2nd-ranked CB, and 17th-ranked athlete nationally.
Yes please!

Message board someone stated he and TJ Pledger were besties at IMG academy (FL) and from California.
Just relaying info not proclaiming.

Think we have a better than good chance of landing him?

Lincoln Riley may be an offensive-minded genius, but his defenses leave a lot to be desired. I’d love to see this kid have a shot at being coached up by Whitt & Co. (defensive-minded geniuses).

Thanks ONLYU. Interesting to see where he would go. Corners seemed locked. Nickel too. And Hubert is coming up. I guess it would be a battle between him and Hubert with both getting PT.
-
MDUteParticipant
I disagree. Radley’s a 3 year starter at Oklahoma and more talented than most, if not all of our young secondary. He’d be a starter day 1 IMO. Would just depend where we see him most valuable…Nickel, Saftety, or DB. I would think he would likely bump out either Malone Mataele or Vonte Davis to #2 on the depth chart. But you definitely want your best and most talented guys on the field and clearly that’s Brendan Radley.

MDUteParticipant
Just to put this in perspective, assuming we get Radley he will be the highest graded player EVER in program history at .9807 and was the 38th best prospect in the nation coming out of high school. That’s as close to a 5* as we’ve ever been. This will be a HUGE get for our program…Go Utes!

And we already signed THIS 5-star kid…

I hear ya @PhiladelphiaUte…I’ve seen a lot of debate about which service to go by and it seems that 247 is the most accurate and has become that standard (not sure if everyone on here agrees or not). But I did see that Rivals had Radley-Hiles as a 5* however 247 grades him as a high 4* just barely below 5*.

Put him where Mataele played. Wasn’t overly impressed with Mataele, loved his tenacity and violence, but he messed up pretty bad on a few big plays. I believe Mataele will improve a lot this year, but Radley-Hiles is probably the better Nickel Corner.
I wouldn’t think anyone is getting put above Vonte at Safety. Kid was a monster this year.

Ry has always transferred to new schools growing up. Could never lock down a starting position. I wouldn’t be surprise if he transfers next year.

Mataele a beast best DB on the field! Do your homework bro. It’s easy to jump on the hype and not do your research.

Vonte Davis was really really good for us last year. Our best defensive back probably. I highly doubt he’d get pushed to #2 by just about anyone in the country.
