Since 2008, Cincinnati has been to the Orange Bowl (2008), the Sugar Bowl (2009) and the Peach Bowl (2020).

Though respectable to get the invite to a NY6 bowl game, gotta win at least one of these bud and from they way things look for the Bearcats, another NY6 bowl game on the horizon. Will they win… Let’s wait and see?

Cinci’s BCS games in 08′ and 09′ were the result of Cinci being a member of the Big East during it’s dying days.  Technically they have only “busted” once.

The author’s not wrong on any of it. As it currently stands, 65 of the 130 schools in FBS are not eligible for the invitational tournament to decide the national champion. At the same time, schools which have completely ruined their programs (Kansas, Arizona, etc) are eligible solely on the basis that they joined the club decades ago.

In every level of every intercollegiate sport with the exception of FBS football, the national champion can come from any member school. FBS’s unwillingness to accommodate this simple principle is the only thing keeping it from being the true national pastime.
