6 ft 8 228 lb center. He was s EXACTLY the kind of player we need next to Carlson.
Averaged around 10 boards a game. NBA body already. He checks off every box that Carlson doesn’t. Don’t know about his scoring, and I don’t care.
I like it. If he can add another 10 lbs of muscle and grab the boards…then he, Anthony and Carlson is a strengthened front court.
That is actually a tourney level front court as long as this guy isn’t complete trash on defense. Those guys with Lazar would be great.
Our guards are a different story.
and of course that is assuming he’d actually come to the UofU…
If we get him, it’ll likely be for only 1-yr. Then it’ll be off to the transfer portal like everybody else.
Who have we lost this year that was a good player? Nobody. Bad upper classmen transferring is good.
Jenkins
There aren’t any good players on the team to lose to the transfer portal, either.
Carlson is the only one that isn’t replaceable rather easily.
Welcome to 2022 and the NCAA, it’s not just Utah.
It’s not just Utah, but under LarryK Utah had a higher percentage of players transferring each year. I can’t remember the exact numbers, but LarryK was significantly higher than the national average.
Significantly, reall? I’d like to see those numbers.
