#61 Michael Williams, Junior Punter, 6-1, 196
Michael Williams is a punter and holder for place-kicking who had transfrerred to Utah after a year on the bench at Arizona State. Saw action as a holder in 2021 and shared punting duties with the Aussie Cam Peasley in the last 6 games. Cam entered the transfer portal on May 1, so, unless there is a new walk-on, it looks like Michael Williams will be the Ute punter for the 2022 season. Michael was rated a 5-star kicker in High School by Chris Sailer Kicking (popular kicking camp/training program); also #1 Punter in Arizona at the time. Not sure why he’s not considered a red-shirt soph, maybe someone can explain.

#61 Kolinu’u Faaiu, RS Freshman OL, 6-3, 319
Koli Faaiu is another of the young reserve offensive linemen. He comes to Utah from Edmonds, WA (north Seattle metro) where he was the #13 rated recruit out of the state of Washington in the class of 2020. He did not see action for the Utes in 2021.
