That’s how they built a good team in year one.

A year ago these guys were playing for Oregon, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, Washington, etc.

I still stand by my earlier statement. The largest corporation in the State of Utah should fund a significant amount of Utah’s NIL dollars.

The church has nothing to do with the University of Utah. They also don’t fund BYU sports. Your context is way off.

I suspect that Utah will beat USC this weekend because the amount of transfers to USC indicats the lack of talent not the abundance. Transfer athletes many times leave their first choice in schools because of lack of playing time, often having to share snaps or bench warming.

You are certainly right about the average transfer.  However, in USC’s case, they got last year’s best Wide Receiver, a top 5 QB, the starting RB from Oregon, etc.  USC got some top-level talent via the portal.

Can we beat these guys? Absolutely!!!

        My response…

Back in the day, players would transfer if they weren’t getting a lot of chances to play, but in this day and age, it is becoming about the all-mighty $$$$$

Building a culture & forming chemistry this quickly via the portal, to the extent they brought in transfers, is virtually impossible to do, regardless of caliber of transfer…..But they’ve managed to do so to the extent of their relatively soft schedule thus far.

This will be their biggest test to date in our RES atmosphere….Obviously a super difficult environment for an opponent to succeed.

I absolutely love our chances in this game.
