It was about status, prestige and likely some money. Not judging but he wanted the big time football experience and was never seriously thinking about Utah once he got on everyone’s radar. Oh and when he blew Whitt off on a phone call it quickly became mutual.
Onlyu is correct. Why do you think that he blew off Roy High ( who started him as a 9th grader) in order to play for the well-funded high profile Corner Canyon. His choice of USC was not a surprise. He certainly has talent, but is kind of a hot dog. Maybe playing in the SEC will provide him with some much needed maturity.
