  Battle, Blocker and Snowden are the reasons why I think we don’t miss a beat at CB in 2023. Phillips is no doubt a big loss, but we have three excellent guys coming in. We should be deeper this year.

    Broughton/Vaughn are also reasons to be optimistic.

      I get the feeling that Vaughn hasn’t quite put the technique aspect of the position together like they had hoped he would. I could be totally wrong, but it just feels like he’s getting passed up by other guys.
      
      Hopefully, that isn’t true because a lockdown corner with his athleticism and length would be a tremendous asset. Either way, we have a ridiculous amount of talent at that position. We are finally seeing the recruiting benefits of our reputation for putting DBs in the NFL.
      
      We have 4 star players all over our defense. Man, it’s a great time to be a Utes fan.

        From what I saw, ZV improved dramatically over the course of last year & was rewarded by the coaches with significantly more reps accordingly…..He’s one who’s definitely putting it all together & I believe he’ll see the field a lot this year…..If MB hadn’t transferred in, he’d bd a starter for us.
        
        We’re absolutely LOADED at CB.

        Loaded with potential. Two are incoming HS players and one is a transfer. I expect that they will grow into rolls but could look like they are learning the system in the preseason. JT, Vaughn and Marks likely get us through the first two games.

        I don’t view it that way…..These are capable talents that should be immediate-impact players for us…..Then you have the returnees, all capable in their own right…..That equates to loaded in my book.
        
        I don’t believe we’ve ever had this much talent overall…..Fortunate scenario for us after losing CPIII.
