Out on the Farm at the Payton Jordan Invitational, Venters went out and ran the fastest time amongst collegian competitors at the meet in the 5000m with a time of 15:26.30 and took sixth-overall against a host of elite professional runners. That time saw the Lawrence, Kan., product move up to No. 2 on the all-time list at Utah behind teammate Simone Plourde (15:21.19) – who broke the program record just last week at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Additionally, her time is also the third-fastest mark in the NCAA this season against times heading into this weekend.
