              They play seven.  This one sure isn’t a pitcher’s duel.  Utah went up 11-9 in the bottom of the sixth.

                Our backup pitchers allowed all the runs….Lopez will close it out.

                  Utah with a hard fought 11-9 win.  All about surviving in a post season tournament game.

                    We need Sandez/Ladd to perform better if we want to reach OKC.

                    But we won’t need them further in the regional if Lopez is on her game the next two games….That means we went undefeated.

                    Then we’d most likely face UCLA in LA where we might need them.

      Utah will play Ole Miss in the winners’ bracket.   So. Illinois vs Baylor in the elimination game.  I believe the elimination game is 1:00 pm start, and Utah playing at 3:30 pm.    Another game will commence at 6 pm depending on the outcomes.

            Utah has to take care of business at home, but worth noting that Grand Canyon beat UCLA last night to send the Bruins to the loser’s bracket.

              I know GCU well being from Phoenix & living down here…..They’re capable of winning that regional [although I still believe UCLA most likely bounces back & runs the table there] & if anyone other than UCLA wins it & we take care of business, we’d host the Best of 3 Super Regional….That would obviously be the best-case scenario & outstanding for our program/fanbase.

              Super excited to play today/tomorrow!!!!!
