He is obviously biased because he broadcasts UW games. He seems to think that UW’s only real competition is USC and that’s because that game is on the road. He feels that UW’s schedule is better than the other top-4 conference contenders. He said that they lost very little on offense and that their defense will be healthy and better this season.
He didn’t say anything but good about the Utes, but just thinks the Huskies are in a very good position. I think UW will be good, but not nearly as good as he thinks. -

I’ll believe it when I see it.
Last year they missed us & USC….In OOC, they caught MSU in a down year.
Barely beating UO is easily offset by losing to a horrible ASU.
In my mind, they have much to prove….I also believe the only reason they have a shot at beating us is due to the game being played in Seattle…..However, we’ve won twice up there during P12 play, so we’ll see.

The Huskies certainly need to be considered one of the stonger favorites to life the trophy in Vegas. Can see where their announcer donning purple colored lenses would predict them to win.

In my mind, they have much to prove
Doesn’t every team? Everyone’s record is 0-0 right now and while last year may be a good indicator, past performance is not a guarantor of future success.

Did you not see what I was responding to?

Yes, I saw the post directly above yours.,,

You must not have based upon your response or you just didn’t comprehend it.
I was directly responding to the UW guy pronouncing his team as the favorite….Then you became philosophical on me….My response was 100% in line with the OP….Yours veered off on a tangent.
Uncertain why you did that.

You’ve made multiple posts on multiple threads stating that you don’t think UW is worthy of the hype they are getting. I even highlighted exactly what I was referencing in your original post.
– UW needs to prove they can play defense and that they can sustain their 2022 offensive production.
– USC needs to prove that they can play defense.
– Oregon needs to prove that they are more than just a recruiting machine and that Nix can be effective w/o Dillingham.
– Utah needs to prove that they can win on the road against top-25 caliber teams. They also need to prove that they can win w/o Rising but that horse has been beaten to death over the last 7 months.
– OSU needs to prove that it can get quality QB play every week as well as rebuild their defense.Whether Michigan State turned out to be worse than expected last year, or UW lost to a bad Arizona State team won’t have any effect on how UW plays this year.

But the UW guy didn’t project anything other than on the team he covers….Hence, my direct response to that.
You’re more than welcome to start a thread on the others….I doubt anyone will mind.

The best thing UW has going for them is their QB is coming back. Hard to deny how talented he is. Based on his athleticism I wouldn’t be surprised to see UW go 9/10 wins next season.

They’ll definitely win some games this year, but by my estimate, it won’t be what they got last year & nowhere near the final ranking.
As I’ve already stated, I’ll be super impressed IF they can beat the two teams they missed last year.
