I think the PAC / ACC thing could have happened if Colo would not have jumped the gun. I think they did so because they felt if they were not first and the Big 12 had their choice of PAC teams they could have easily been left out. But when Colo did jump, things began to move to fast for anything but life boats to be considered. The root of all of this was USC and they had market value that allowed them to do what they wanted. Oregon and Washington had enough market value to be considered in the fire sale. UCLA somehow road the USC coattails into the B1G, everyone else was forced to scramble. There seems to be great desire to expand in pairs. Down the road the B1G and the SEC will shop for teams if needed in the Big 12 and the ACC so we need to keep our teeth brushed and hair combed to be desirable by the P2.
