Hi, my friends and I are hoping to attend the Florida game so I joined here to get some information before we go.
We are all SEC grads who have been relocated to Utah for work, but we share a mutual hatred for Florida. We watched a few Utes games on TV last year at the atmosphere looked incredible. Combine that with a hated SEC rival coming to town and we have to make sure we get into that stadium Thursday night.

Anyway we’re looking at tickets and they’re extremely expensive so we’re probably going to do Standing Room Only. I see that SRO has assigned sections. Are you able to move from one section to another to get a better view? I see some for sale in the SRO corners of the endzone and wondering if I can walk closer to midfield from there.

I’m assuming I want to be on the west side of the stadium due to the sun, correct?

Can chairs be brought into SRO sections? Or is it just going to be such a madhouse that it’s probably not even worth it?

How early should I go into the stadium to get a good spot in SRO?

Talk to me about parking and tailgating. Can I just park at the Trax station and take the bus?

Can I park somewhere close enough to setup a tailgate on campus? Can you tailgate anywhere on campus? Or is it a better idea just to walk around with a cooler and join others?

When tickets sale ads say they do electronic transfer, does that mean they sell them to you over an exchange like ticketmaster? So you’re still having to pay the fees to the exchange?

Thanks in advance. Hope yall blow em out!

Welcome to Ute Hub from your friendly admin. Most parking and tailgate spots anywhere near the stadium are reserved. SRO is on the top of each concourse. If you are on the east side, you may get a nice sunset. There’s not a bad seat, or place to stand in the house. I doubt you can bring chairs to the SRO. The stadium opens 90 minutes prior, but I’d spend most of that time and prior at the Guardsman Lot, where most of the good tailgates are. Yes tickets are through ticket master.

You are welcome to stop by my tailgate, which is VERY modest. Row H #69 by the police station. Come say hello. Opposing fans are welcome. Also right where my spot is, is where the band and cheerleaders will perform. Probably 1.5-2 hours before the game. That’s fun.

I would park at Trolley Square and take the Trax up to Rice-Eccles. It’s free of charge if you have tickets to any campus sporting event.
