      When I clicked on it, that’s exactly what Instagram told me. It forced me to change my password to get back into my account.

        Hm. that sounds odd. Ironically the process you’re describing sounds more like a spoofed login page. Though it could’ve been a legit message and your account was compromised prior to clicking on this link.

      It was fine for me, but I changed my insta password to be safe.
