Enjoying the process of being back in the mix. He is doing everything at practice. Feels good to be back with the offense.

Last week it was all about him helping the team to get ready to beat Florida. He found out the long first pass on Wednesday morning when they decided to change the play.

During the game last week, he was trying to mentor and help the guys on the sideline.

We have a very good football team but we still have a lot of improvement to make.

Having an early kick this week requires different preparation. Cam would prefer that all Utes games were early games. He hates sitting around all day long watching football games.

It’s hard to prepare for Baylor because they have a different D coordinator and many new players this year. They have been looking at a lot of film.

When asked about the heat, he simply said it would be hot and we need to stay hydrated and play football. He did not seem worried.

Cam’s status – He is feeling good and strong. It sounds like they will not make a decision until Saturday morning. He is not saying much.

He was excited about how the PAC12 performed last week. He was very impressed with Colorado’s offense. He was especially impressed with how many plays Hunter played.

(I personally think Cam will dress and I think there is a 50/50 chance he plays.)

I think it’s closer to 0 percent chance he plays before conference play. That was always the plan. Coming back 2 weeks earlier doesn’t do anything to support thier primary goal of making it back to the P12 title game. A loss Saturday means basically nothing especially if he doesn’t play. With USC, OU, Washington, OSU and now CU all in the top 25, the CFP is even still alive with a loss. I can’t see any upside to playing him whatsoever. If he needs a warm up, that’s what next week is for.

Hot take, but if the PAC 12 does as well this week as it did last week, I wouldn’t be shocked if the PAC 12 is the first conference with a two loss champion in. Things would have to fall the right way, but it could be possible
