Ludwig’s decision to stick with Barnes until halfway through the 4th quarter is inexcusable. There’s a real issue with our staff’s ability to select QBs. Barnes over Johnson, Brewer over Rising, Williams over Huntley…

I want it to be Johnson going forward, but none of us have been in practice and know these guys.

I agree. But practice be damned, it was very clear early that the game was not going to be won with Barnes

You are both right. Maybe Barnes has been clearly better in practice, but if that was the case, why keep putting Nate in? Seems like the coaches weren’t sure, so they went with both until Barnes showed that he didn’t have what it takes mentally to get it done. The plays were there for him to make, and he didn’t make them.

We’ll .. they appeared to have figured that out now .. he still has a lot of issues to work out ; like holding on to the ball .. that last series is what I’ve been waiting to see , hopefully it carries us forward now

To be fair, Huntley was a true freshman in 2016 and weighed about a buck-oh-five. He needed a year and was started in 2017.
