Isaac Wilson had yet another great game last night. They beat undefeated Mountain Ridge 56-14. They scored 49 first-half points. Wilson threw for 5 TDs and ran for another. If you haven’t seen this kid play – he has a very strong arm and he is not afraid to run the ball.
In Corner Canyon’s only loss, they scored 42 points against the national second-ranked team, Bishop Gorman. I have followed high school football for many years, and I have never seen a more potent offense than what CC has this season.
I wasn’t 100% sure about Isaac Wilson when he committed this summer. But, I am now a believer. He is not just a pocket passer. He is an excellent runner and not afraid to take a hit.
He had minor knee surgery a few weeks ago to remove bone spurs on a Tuesday and still played on Friday. I have heard that after the season, he will need to have more serious surgery on his knee. I am sure this will keep him out of spring ball.
