The Utes finally won both a road AND conference away game at the same time. It was an ugly game at times but hopefully this victory provides the impetus to finish out the season strong.
They made a point on the gamecast saying that if Utah had just hit 60-70 percent of its free throws, it would have won the Arizona, ASU, and USC games. If that would have happened, the Utes would have been a shoo-in for the tournament.
There are teams, such as UCLA and USC who may play at a stadium other than their own but are not on the road. That would be an awtheay game but not a road game. In the case of Utah @ UCLA, perhaps Miami is saying this because it is a win outside of the Wasatch front area. 🤔
