Hey all, I’m excited for another season with a healthy roster. We usually do one or two away games each year, first up is OK State. Booked flights and everything except for game tickets couple months ago. Tickets were later released on OK St website and were about $100 but our friends had not yet committed and I waited to purchase so we could all sit together, but of course they finally did commit and now the game is sold out.
Will the U be selling any away tickets or should I just wait for resale to come down? Or does anyone have any extras? Tips on where to sit at Boone Pickens? Not sure if I should bite now or be patient and wait.
Side note: Last year when we went to the Baylor game in Waco, I bought tickets way in advance and then the day of it was so damn hot I saw tickets in our section being sold for like twenty bucks each or given away. Not sure they will go down much for OK State
Go Utes!!

The U sold their allotment in May and any unsolds they returned to the schools -So, best bet is the resale market.

I just picked mine up last night! Likely flying standby out there, so only thing left is figuring out the hotel part 🤙

Wife and I have been planning this trip and the UCF in November.
The U has already sold out of their allotment and anything not purchased was returned back to OSU. With that said I usually look at what sections are the visiting team sections and hit the secondary market anyways. Usually better seats and prices. I think the U was selling them for $100 each and they were like the sideline 5 yards deep into the endzone. I picked some up around the 25-30 yardline for the same price.
I usually go with TickPick or SeatGeek.-

We might be sitting in the same section.

Not too far away, we snagged 239, row 11. I’m hoping there is a Ute fan tailgate or something prior to the game.
We are planning to stay in Tulsa and drive in

I’ll be staying in Tulsa the night before the game as well. My brother lives there. My dad will be flying in as well, so we’ll all be driving into Stillwater the day of the game as well.
GO UTES!!!

Sounds like a lot of Utes coming to Stillwater for the game. I love it! But I’m going to have to bring more beer…
Also, yes, as someone said SeatGeek is your best bet now. And there are a few rooms left for that weekend it looks like. The best/closest hotel I found with vacancy was the Best Western Plus Cimarron Hotel & Suites. It’s just East of the stadium and walking distance to campus.

I think you will have a pretty good contingent of Ute fans at this game. We tend to travel pretty well and with this being a potential top 15 match up, first year in the Big 12, good matchup, etc.,
Wife and I are driving in from Tulsa, believe it’s about an hour. Is there any good options to park and walk to the stadium? or free shuttle to get there?
Also any food recommendations would be appreciated!-
KnoblockerParticipant
Yeah, Tulsa isn’t a bad drive at all. There will be plenty of lots close to campus where you can pay to park. For that game, I’m sure you’ll be paying $40-70 for the closer parking, though. There is in fact a shuttle from downtown. I’ll post a very informative link below. But here’s what it says about the shuttle:
“Catch the shuttle at 7th and Lewis in Downtown Stillwater for free, round-trip service to Boone Pickens Stadium starting 3 hours before the game and continuing until 30 minutes after kick-off. Shuttles will resume in the 3rd quarter and continue for a minimum of 30 minutes postgame – or until lines are gone.”
Literally everything you’ll need to know here:
As far as food. You’ll have to stop by the Eskimo Joe’s area for at least a beer. That block also has a great dive bar (that will be packed) called George’s Stables and a restaurant called The Garage Burgers and Beer down the street. You’ll be offered great free food from just about every tailgate, though. We OSU fans are great hosts. There will also be food trucks, tents, etc. set up all over. Hideaway Pizza is the second most popular game day restaurant and it’s a block south of the Joe’s area!
South of campus is Washington Street or “The Strip” as we call it. It has all the college bars and a few restaurants as well. Willie’s Saloon is where Garth Brooks got his start. The Copper Penny across the street has a drink called a “Limey” and trust me you’ll only need one. Outlaws down the street if you want to two step or line dance. Shots if you want to play pool. The Union or College Bar if you want to get cheap drinks. And finally Murphy’s if you want to finish the night under some neon palm trees.

Awesome! Thank you so much for the information, this will help us immensely. I’m excited for the passionate fan bases that the BIG12 offers, excited to see some new, undiscovered cities that I probably would never have thought to visit otherwise. Plus I’m hoping for a great game (Utah Win) But some good olde smashmouth football.
