Chris Curry and RB room

I dunno man, he may be a pessimist, but being a pessimist or an optimist doesn’t inherently increase your understanding of reality. I think the reality is that no matter what we say, what we think, or what the coaches say, none of us actually know what’s going to happen with the RB’s at this point.

We’re all entitled to have different opinions and fears and anxieties about the upcoming season. If it was predetermined then it wouldn’t be any fun…and the betting would suck.

I am glad to see Chris Curry hanging around. He could have been that power back we’re hoping to find, but maybe his future is brighter as a coach without risking another major injury.

You’re reading quite a lot into what I’ve said. I’ve consistently said we have known commodities in our RB1 and RB2. No need to speculate about their abilities. Our overall run game will almost certainly be improved with our new options on offense. That doesn’t mean either of them have developed the ability to push the pile for two yards when we really need it. That’s my one contention—that limited scenario is the weak link IMO.
It’s unusual for Utah football not to have a guy who can do that. Like I’ve said, maybe that’s where our LB turned RB comes in, but that’s me being optimistic without evidence.
