For those of you who don’t have time to listen – my notes from the presser:
– It’s great to have Rising and Kuithe back. Looking at the film – Cam did not take as many chances running as I initially thought. We don’t want Cam to be afraid to run when it is needed.
– Pretty clean game. We lost the turnover contest which is never good. We did have a few stupid penalties, but not too bad.
– D was suffocating and got a shutout.
– Baylor is a good team with great coaching. Need to be prepared. This is not a conference game, but that makes no difference.
– Johnson’s injury is season-ending. He will be eligible to play next season if he chooses to do so.
– He would give Wilson a B. He said that they put him in a difficult position in the 1st half, but it’s good because he will learn from his mistakes.
– Stanley had a great game, but is not ready to be an every down RB. However, they have some plays just for him.
– The running game on Saturday was just okay. They want to average at least 5 yards per carry and didn’t get that Saturday.
– Aliki’s injury was not season-ending.
– They are looking at a lot of different things for CB this week. They may move Snowden to CB and Calhoun should be ready to play. No decisions have been made yet.
– He gave the Oline a B+. They did allow a sack and some mistakes were made.
– It may have been nice to get the first team offense some more reps. But, the big chunk yard plays changed things.
– Our offense is so diverse, that there will be games where we utilize the TEs more and other times when we utilize the WRs more. It depends on the style of defense the opponent plays. The great news is that we have so many options.
