Jim VanderhoofParticipant
I was unable to watch the USU USC game Saturday night (supposed to be on the Big 10 channel) because our area was blacked out. I follow the Aggies every year. A good friend of mine is the PA guy for fb and bb.
The firing of the coach and assistant athletic director has derailed what could have been a good season. The new coach is young and inexperienced running a D1 program and had no time to prepare.
Their offense was expected to be good this year and defense was more of an unknown. Their transfer QB from Iowa was supposed to start. He got hurt Hillstead transferred leaving Barnes at the helm. 49-0 tells the story.
They will be fired up to play us but the talents isn’t there to upset us. It would be a good game for Wilson to play on the road and have some success throwing the ball and moving the offense down the field. Should be fun to watch him grow.

What to except if Wilson does go the whole game Whit will run the ball 40 + times.
He will win this game with ball control time devouring drives and a top 10 defense.
Wilson might pass 15 times all game.
Utah will win a very workmanlike game 24-3

Unfortunately you will be right AzUTE. One can only hope. If Wilson plays they will blitz a lot. I’d like to see Wilson roll out more and have the throw run option. The 2023 offense could reappear. Barnes will know every play call. Lol

I hope not and sorry I harp on this. But a defense stacking the box and blitzing the QB can be defeated by something other than a workmanlike effort letting them dictate to us and putting unnecessary wear and tear on the defense. I would hope we run the plays designed to defeat that defense that is seemingly so predictable with a plan that punishes them for being out of position. With or without Cam we should be up by 28 at the half, play the 2s the rest of the way and let the defense rest up for next week. That is exactly what any other end-of-season top 12 team would do. I will count the screen passes if Wilson starts.

The Miami UteParticipant
Charlie, I love your stuff but I have to disagree on the 28-0 halftime score. Utah State is way more talented than SUU and we saw how Wilson did there. Granted, it was his first college game but I would have liked to have seen more consistency and accuracy from Wilson. The Aggies already have a defensive game plan if Wilson’s the starter. They will stack the box and absolutely force Wilson to be the deciding factor. Hopefully, he’s up to it.

Jim VanderhoofParticipant
I agree Miami. I don’t think the Aggies are going to just lay down. They have some athletes and could give us a game with Wilson at qb. I’d love to see Wilson have a good game to get his confidence. If Cam plays I think we win big.

I think we throw a couple of bombs early and build a 14 pt lead, then play conservative the rest of the game running the ball as much as possible.

Y’all are all wrong. We’re going to punt it on first down and let the defense score. Scoop and score, pick-6, blocked FG returned for TD. 21-0. 🙂
I do hope to hear Wilson to Singer multiple times, Wilson to Kuithe several times, Wilson to Parks, End-around by Stanley, then when it opens up a little, 3 – 100 yd rushers. Take what they give us. Stack the box? TD pass.
