      – A lot of positive – especially Wilson. Slow start as a team. No explanation for that. Give USU credit.

      – Should be a good matchup for our first conference game.

      – Reporter said the Utes D was torched. Whit seemed to be taken back. USU made some good catches. Barnes did good. We felt pretty good about our secondary’s performance overall.

      – Wilson’s number are improving. This is the first time he had the 1st team reps. His QBR was good. He needs to still gain command of the offense. He continues to learn and become more comfortable.

      – The round D was not bad but the numbers were higher than we wanted. They had a quality RB.

      – Mitchell has shown progress but has had a nagging injury. Has done a nice job. His size is a good compliment to Bernard. Stanley is the third guy right now.

      – Lohner gives us a great advantage with his height and wingspan. He helps in blocking kicks.
You will see him become more and more a factor as the season goes on. On the TD catch, Isaac threw it where only Lohner could catch it.

      – Cam is a terrific QB and one of the tops in QBR. They have talked to him about staying out of harms way but that’s not his nature.

      – The Oline was bad in the 1st quarter. It was their worst quarter of the season, but ended up playing their best later in the game.

      – The interior D line played great and are good team leaders.

      – We are going to have to tackle well against Ollie Gordon, because he is a big and strong guy. We have great respect for him.

      – Hall played 36 snaps at LB. He is a sure tackler. Calhoun had some good plays at QB.

      – Fotu takes most of Reid’s reps. Hall also takes some of those reps. Lander has the biggest job when Reid does not play. Anytime you lose a good football player like Reid – it will affect the overall play. Reid is a very good player and team leader. He is missed.

      – He does not know a lot about Gundy, but he is obviously a good coach since he has been there for 20 years.

      – Rice Eccles is a special place at night and that’s great. But he personally prefers early games because there is no waiting around.

No questions from the press about Cam playing or not?

I’ll answer that for you Dallas. Game time decision. He’s the alpha dog and we’re obviously a better team when he’s in the game. Next question. I don’t think they ask the question because they know the answer.

It literally doesn’t matter. Utah State has a better statistical defense than Oklahoma State and Utah State has played against us and USC.

Oklahoma State has played a FCS team, Arkansas and a terrible Tulsa team.

If Wilson has to play this weekend, he will be facing a worse defense than he faced last weekend and he did just fine.

Utah State gave up 544 yards to USC. Oklahoma State gave up 644 yards to Arkansas.

No matter who our QB is, they should be able to put up points vs OSU.

The question is, can OSU throw for 400+ and 4+ TD’s to beat us?

            I wouldn’t bet on it.

Question for you @Utah—do you bet on these games?

I don’t think there’s any way Cam doesn’t play next game, or at least isn’t ready to come in if needs be. He was dressed and ready on the sidelines for the last game. And from what everyone was saying, it was a minor injury. But – Whitt of course wants to make them prepare for 2 different QBs, so good on him for that.
