The entire town can fit in their stadium.

Looks like a cool little college town. I wish I could have gone to this game.

It reminds me of LA or Berkeley. Seriously it looks like a great small town atmosphere. May not have a beach or Disneyland but the charm of an old school college town. Thanks for the post Dallas. I would definitely like to check it out and watch a game there. Big 12 has some hidden gems.

Sorry, but when I spend all that time and money to get to a hard to get to destination, there better be a lot more than charm. There is nothing to do there.

They don’t call it Stoolwater for nothin’ (this coming from someone who lived in Coweta, OK, which I really enjoyed).

If you are making the trip, two local spots that I recommend for breakfast are Just Wafflin and Granny’s Kitchen.

Of course, Eskimo Joes is a landmark.

Seems like comfort food is just better in small towns. Watching that video made we crave a country fried steak.

It’s hard to beat a chicken fried steak, but I must point out the cinnamon roll french toast at Granny’s.

Golf is cheap and plentiful in the area, unless you get tee times at Karsten Creek–it’s still well worth it however. Thus is very different from my experience golfing in the Mountain West, where it is really expensive, even on public courses.

There is also hiking and boating, etc in the area, but probably not of interest in the heat.
