A WTF game? And were there any obvious mitigating circumstances? I guess by implication, a WTF game wouldn’t have legitimate mitigating circumstances.

I’m wondering if our WTF games are as prevalent and recent as it seems to some fans.

The last one that sticks out to me was when Utah lost to Oregon with a Bo Nix who was injured. Cam missed a ton of easy throws and the team just looked like a mess. Utah should have won that game.

Yeah, I was at that game and Cam looked hurt and off all game. I think he was still recovering from some of the nagging stuff from the USC game even, but his accuracy was really, really bad all game. Thankfully, foe the CU and USC champ game he looked much better.

We don’t lose games we shouldn’t.

If you take away Florida, Oregon, Ohio St, Penn St, USC, teams that are all vastly more talented than we are, Cam Rising is 19-1 vs teams that aren’t those teams.

No team in the Big 12 is vastly more talented than us.

IF Rising can ever play, we should just roll through the Big 12. We don’t lose to teams that have the same talent as us.

The entire 2023 season was a WTF game. But in the spirit of answering your question a good number of our recent bowl games have been wtf games. We haven’t showed up to play in a bowl game (excluding Ohio state) since 2017. They’ve consistently been our worst efforts of the season for a good long while.

Those bowl games we’ve been decimated by injuries and departures.

I just feel like we have to appreciate we’re talking about teams like northwestern. We should be able to beat them either way. And I don’t really expect we or any other team will ever make it to bowl season without injuries.
