Just want to say thanks to Cam for being an all-time great Ute. Tonight’s game was rough. He’s too injured to run or throw. It makes me sad. But I appreciate Cam for all he’s done for the U. For getting us our first Pac-12 titles, getting us to our first Rose Bowls and for being tough as nails.
I hope Cam recovers enough to help us win a few more games this year, but I think he might be done. I think that knee injury was too severe to recover from.
I wish Whit would have been more transparent on the severity of Cam’s injury. Cam deserved it and we fans deserved it.
Anyway, thanks Cam for being awesome.

What a great point. Whitt’s policy on secrecy with injuries has absolutely crushed Cam’s legacy.

Uh oh! Accountability for Whitt! Sic ’em, Aloha!

Cam successfully grifted 2 million out of our NIL boosters. His record for that money over 2 years is literally 0-1

I just don’t have the information to say Cam really flim flammed everyone out of money and I don’t think it’s the likely scenario. I think he just bet on himself and lost.

Whitt also went all in on him and he’s the one who’s getting paid millions to know better

I appreciate this post. We can’t let this tarnish Cam’s legacy. He’s a legend and an incredible QB when healthy. It’s not his fault that his knee exploded last year or that his finger (and/or knee) got jacked up this year. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes w/ the transparency of his injury. Clearly, he was willing to play all along…and we got it tonight…

I mean… we all saw him get rolled up on during the first series… right? He looked plenty mobile in the first two games, the knee isn’t the issue, it’s whatever new injury he got in that first series. Sadly, the kid is just injury prone. He couldn’t step into his throws, and I think he’ll probably need surgery on that hand, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stretched out some of the ligaments in that hand, only way to fix that is a hand surgeon. The kid is done, what a sad way to go out. Why do we struggle to keep our QBs healthy? This has been a long standing issue going back to the 2000’s. This game was reminiscent of the Travis Wilson years where we relied on the defense to win us the game. Travis could get us in FG range, but that was about it, then Andy Phillips would kick a bunch of FGs and if the defense played well, we’d win. If they made mistakes… we’d lose (That or Travis throwing 3 ints to the same LB).

I was at the game so didn’t see anything close up. I didn’t see him get rolled up on. That really sucks.

Happened on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game.

It actually looked really bad when they showed the replay up close later in the game, it is no wonder he couldn’t plant and throw.

Seriously, that SC linebacker owes Utah some royalty money.
Troy Williams also gifted him with a pick in the 2017 game. The SC fans around me laughed when I said out loud that Utah should just put him on scholarship since he was their best receiver.

I’ve been as frustrated as much as anyone with cam. We all wanted him play through injuries and he did that tonight…to the detriment of the team.
But he’s back in my good graces. Now go retire and enjoy the nil money you got and deserved. Once a Ute, always a Ute.
