RZ offense and tackling would be a good start, but it is tough to imagine these issues will be addressed in a meaningful way within a week. Is there anything that will get sufficiently fixed? Can we at least field a healthy QB? What about the team energy?

If our red zone offense last night was as good as our regular offense we would have won easily.

Depends on how severe Cams leg injury really is.

I don’t think anything can fix the team energy except a healthy Cam making good throws, which likely will never happen again.

I’ve said it since he came back, but Lud is NOT the answer. Other than he and the QB situation, it all can be fixed.

Tackling, discipline, hunger, intelligence. All of it. But until Lud starts thinking outside of his own box, it won’t matter.

Karene Reid coming back and getting everyone in the right place at the second level.

Ludwig is just a mediocre OC at best and has a history of poor red zone and 4th down play calling. I don’t see much improvement on the offensive side of the ball. Defense is way over rated, they over pursue, can’t tackle and secondary coverage is horrible.

So with that said, it’s on to next year, a new HC, new OC and new start for the Utes. The Witt run is over and he gave us some great years, but also some very frustrating and head scratching years. Like the multiple missed 4th downs against OR in the PAC 12 championship where the Utes repeatedly ran Moss up the gut against an incredibly stout OR interior line.

.. I mean Roderick is mediocre at best , but he’s on fire right now , just like Ludwig was a few year back .. players still have to perform.
