My favorite Cam memories: The top two are both Pac-12 championship games. I was at both and they were both electric. I won $1200 betting on the Utes to win the first one. Next is probably the USC game where we went for 2 in the last seconds of the game and won by one point. I was yelling “NOOO! Kick the extra point and go into overtime you idiots!” Then seconds after we make the 2 point conversion, “brilliant call!!”

Next is probably the first drubbing we gave Oregon in 2021.

      Let’s hear yours!

That USC game was two years ago today. That would probably be my favorite if I had gotten to go but I think the 2021 game against Oregon beats out that USC game for me just because I was there. The Bad Moon video they played before that game was awesome

^^^^ The most electric moment ^^^^ I noticed the Oregon team watching the big screen, Rising was living rent free in their brains, from that point on. The video, the grey US Salt Lake City uniforms, the crowd, quite the experience.

Covey’s punt run-back was a dagger, but this was Rising’s best game.

And this is where Rising excelled, the Gunslinger, the swagger, the grin. I’m not sure how Wilson replicates this. Rather, I am hoping/expecting Wilson is another Alex Smith.

      1. 15 October 2022 – Utah 43 – USC 42. Two point conversion to win it.
      2. 1 January 2023 – tOSU 48 – Utah 45. Cam rips off a 62 yard TD run to put the Utes up 35-21 at HT.
      3. 2 December 2022 – Utah 47 – USC 24. Cam shreds USC for well over 300 yards and 3 TDs as the Utes romp to a second consecutive PAC title.

Honorable Mention: 18 September 2021 – SDSU 33 – Utah 31. Cam relieves a woefully ineffective Charlie Brewer and leads the Utes on a wild 4th QTR comeback that ultimately falls short in OT. That’s the game where the legend of Cam Rising started to be born.

nothing beat the 2 points conversion vs USC

another one that might be less popular: Cam read the play call wrong and thought the play was a flea flicker against USC in 2021. The coaches called a time out and thought the flea flicker was actually a good call and went with it. That play was kind of like the turning point of that season

Agree with others, that 2 point conversion was epic. One of the great plays in Utah history.

And that Oregon game was fantastic too.

I know it’s not near as epic ir memorable, but the first drive of the Baylor game this season when he came out slinging was a lot fun too. It was just so fun feeling like we had Cam back.

Cam’s awesome andnim super appreciative of him.

Mine has to be when he got his head taken off by a USC defender on a scramble in the pac 12 championship and popped right back up laughing. USC knew they were cooked at that moment

USC game with the two point conversion. Kincaid and Rising were a great combo. The emotion to end. Seeing Kincaid sob because he left it all on the field in that win.

It ended up costing Utah later in the season health wise for that Rose Bowl but it was absolutely the reason for how they got there.

Beating USC at the coliseum the 1st time. Bad Moon threw a flea flicker, had a dope rushing td with broken tackles, etc. It was a classic performance by him and one that made us all fall in love.

The Two Point Conversion to win it against USC. No question.

I was present for the second pac-12 championship game. What a game! Most likely that was the apex of Cam’s career. Beating those entitled snobs (again) from USC was my all time best Utah moment.
Weeks before that, we as a family listened on the radio on our way home from fall break in San Diego as Cam scored the TD and 2 point conversion vs USC at home. We pulled the truck over to listen and celebrated afterwards. Incredible moment! Maybe the most electric moment in RES history.
I was present for both Rose Bowls, his touchdown run vs OSU was something else. Not the most athletic looking, but it was. Those games kind of represent what Cam did for us. Took us farther than anyone else had, gave everything to get us there, and unfortunately got knocked out and injured near the end and we couldn’t finish.
Those are my top 3. Legend status achieved, wish him nothing but the best.

The point is that Cam gave Ute fans so many positive memories. I’m sad that his career as a Ute ended the way that it did.

The entire USC game from Oct 15, 2022 was amazing. He target Kincaid 16 times and Kincaid had 16 catches. Rising and Kincaid made a great duo that night in RES.

      Thanks Cam!!!

Yeah, I don’t know how you pick just one moment. For a guy who doesn’t “look” like a QB, and doesn’t have one defining skill that sets him apart, the entirety of his career has been one where he’s exceeded expectations. In that, he is the epitomy of Utah football.

When he’s all padded up, he looks like an undersized nose tackle. He’s got that rambling gait that seems so inefficient. He’s never shown a top level arm. And yet the sum has been so much greater than the parts. That’s what I’ll remember more than any individual play or game. Because sans injury, he was the Vice President of Getting S**t Done!
