Sometimes when the end comes, it comes at the speed of light. Stranger things have happened but it’s hard to see how Whitt reinvents himself and rights this ship given his advanced tenure.
Whatever Utah had that made it a competitive and feared team, well that’s gone.
If I was to give one piece of advice to Whitt, it would be this: don’t stay long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Agree. If he steps away now and says he’s doing it as it’s what’s best for the team, he will still be remembered fondly by the masses. But if he continues to feed this dumpster fire, any goodwill that still exists towards him is likely to run out.
Give Scalley the reins. A 4 game losing streak where we are scoring less points than we did in our first year in the PAC should be unacceptable at this point
Scalley can’t fix the O in season any more than Bajakian can. At this point, you’re just hoping for lightning in a bottle which perhaps Whitt could provide if he announced he was stepping down after the season. Maybe the kids can come together trying to send him out in style.
And the next 2 weeks should be the first open QB competition since 2021. No preconceived notions, just line them up and see who actually is most game ready.
He was supposed to retire on a high note after winning the Big 12 and making the playoff. Instead he is going to retire after a losing season in the biggest letdown season in Utah football history.
I don’t see Whittingham being fired, but he probably should accept reality and retire. This is a terrible coaching job.
Too many players will transfer at the end of the season. A high profile isn’t coming here to have their hands tied by 1990s football IQ! Stop believing the hype, change is needed now. Harlan is garbage, all he did was hang black curtains and create chaos in the concourse. Chris Hill is a genius for leaving when he did.
