chaos week and Utah isn’t in a position to take advantage of it because they p**sed the last 4 games away. sheesh

That was a good game. The Big 12 is weak. We screwed up.

Sports is cyclical. Maybe 2024 is their 2004 like we had. When we went undefeated (they won’t finish undefeated) in football, Alex Smith #1 pick in NFL and Bogut #1 pick in NBA. Just gotta tip your cap. This has been an excruciating last 2 years. But we will back. I have no doubt.

Dang that’s wild that y’all had #1 draft picks in football and basketball in the same year. I knew about each individually but I never put it together in my head that they happened the same year. I can’t remember that happening for blue blood schools let alone a mountain west team

I say this with all due respect to TDS, but if they are the best team in this conference this late in the year…the BigXII sucks, and yes, I know they’re better than us right now.

I say put Bernard in at QB, Glover at RB , Kuithe / Carsen at fullback and let’s run them over. Left, right up the middle and kill the clock Witt style. Who is better our our OL or their DL? 250 plus rushing yards or you lose your truck!

Tony (admin)Keymaster
I don’t think we can run anyone over. Sadly.

lol we were saying the same about yall when you won the pac 😂 but I don’t disagree

Yes. But you guys were wrong, and I’m right, Lasso 😉
Like March Madness, with having a 12 team playoff now, you’ll get a chance to prove it on the field.
-
Ted LassoParticipant
Haha I’m just giving you a hard time.
All I can say is, I don’t think BYU can compete against anyone in the playoffs, and I don’t really care if they can or not. It would be nice obviously, but I’m just not expecting it to happen.
I’ve decided I’m going to be content with this season if they can either a) beat Utah or b) make it to the conference championship. Everything else is gravy

Hey, no matter what happens, you guys have had a great season and no one can take that from you. Your coaches have done a great job this year. I think Kalani secretly built really good offensive and defensive lines while no one was watching. I’d love to say that anything can happen in a rivalry, etc, etc, but I haven’t seen a pulse out of our offense in two months and I just don’t know how we are going to find one. This has been the single weirdest college football season in my 40 years of fandom…

BYU is playing very good football, but is it good enough to compete with the top 10? They’ll be lucky if they go undefeated in Big12 play. They could win the conference and they could also lose. If they are included in the CFP I think they lose, because I don’t think they are that good outside the Big12. Indiana appears to be a solid team. Wouldn’t it be something, they get upset next week at RES?! We will see. Go UTES!!!

2008 National ChampParticipant
whoever wins the Big-12 was always predicted to lose their first game in the playoff, even when many thought it would be Utah. Getting the 4 seed means playing probably #5 which is looking like Georgia, Texas, Penn State, Ohio State or Alabama at this point. That’s a tough lift. I’d love for Utah to have gotten that chance but it would be folly predicting the parochial school or anyone else being favored in that game.

Larry BParticipant
Let’s all remember, making it to the Rose Bowl twice wasn’t an accomplishment because we lost both games. So the same logic applies if they make it to the playoff and lose.
