I must have been asleep. Does anyone know any details of Keba ending up at our rival BYU? When, Why?

I would think A major job of coach Smith’s would have been retaining Keita. What I’ve seen so far of the Ute team, they don’t have a guy that can defend and rebound like him.

With the disaster of a football season so far, this really seems like a bad situation for the coming basketball season also.

I think he should be renamed to “backward hat bro.”

Yes, NIL is a major part of it, but this is what I think today’s head coaches should become expert in. Arranging, seeking out, helping however they legally can to get the players NIL money. We may not like it, but for now NIL is the name of the game.

Utah Utes have no shortage of supporters with very deep pockets. Before NIL they were called upon to help with building sports venues, etc.. Now the money goes for other purposes.

The athletic departments have started to hire GM’s for the teams to basically do this stuff already.
The teams can’t directly get involved with getting kids NIL money but they can get money from boosters to go into the NIL.
However I believe next year in April the lawsuit will be finalized where colleges will be able to pay players directly and this will change everything once again. colleges will have budgets (salary caps) for each team essentially.

I’m glad to have him on board. I went to the Utah BYU game in SLC last year and BYU had no answer for Keita. He’s an athletic freak.
