I don’t live in the Salt Lake area. Jon Canzano quoted Chris Hill as saying that there will be a lot of blue because Ute ticket holders are selling their tickets for the game. Any comments from those of you in the area?

That’s what I expect to happen. The main reasons are that it’s a night game, it’s going to be cold, Utah is having a bad season, and BYU demand has driven the price of the tickets to a sky-high level so Ute fans can make a tidy profit selling their tickets. Something similar happened last basketball season when BYU visited the Huntsman Center. Half the crowd at the game were BYU fans.

They are not fans and should give up their tickets. There is a waiting list for season tickets.

Well, the reality is that tickets are a commodity and, like all commodities, available to the highest bidder. I’m not certain how you stop season ticket holders from selling out if that’s what they want to do.

I’m not suggesting they can’t sell their tickets. They have that right for sure. We just have trouble sitting in the CC area and see so many blue shirts. Not to mention occasionally sitting next to me and 70% of the time, they are petulant acting. Even when we win. I don’t feel like true fans would sell out. It’s been a pet peeve of mine for many years.

I’m with you Kellso. If your selling your tickets to BYU fans your not a true Ute fan. My seats would be vacant before I sold them to a cougar. There is nothing worse than getting to your seats and sitting next to an obnoxious BYU fan. I can’t believe this is being discussed. Only saving grace is watching them leave our stadium with their cougar tails between their legs. Go utes

The thought crossed my mind to sell my tix. Watching the utes lose at while freezing to death sounds like a less good option than watching the utes lose while nice and warm at my house after selling my tickets for $750. But I guess I’m not that smart and will be at the game!

One of my friends, their extended family has a bunch of seats all together. Whereas they almost never have issues finding people to go, this game they had 4 extra tickets, which I do think is indicative that a lot of Ute fans are not very interested in going. That said, they did ultimately find 4 ute fans to fill the seats, but I do worry there will be a lot more BYU fans in the crowd tonight than usual.

I certainly thought about selling. Not for long though. This rivalry has too much history and craziness. Vegas has TDS by only 2-4 points. Maybe Vegas disrespects TDS but I wouldn’t at all be surprised if it was close. I think people are crazy to be selling their tickets. It will be great to be back in RES for a Holy War game.
