USC placed on probation and fined $50,000 for violation of o and off-field coaching activities.

I follow USC football on YouTube and there’s only one reason why Lincoln Riley still has a job…his massive contract and the gargantuan buy-out USC would have to swallow if they canned him. It’s that simple. The team has regressed every season since he arrived and just like at Oklahoma, where he stopped making the CFP when Bob Stoops’ recruits aged out, he’s gotten found out as being just a glorified OC.

A real shame.

LOL…you wrote that without a trace of irony showing…well done…

Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of scumbags

I have no issue being in the Big 12 but I do miss the rivalry that was developed with USC. I have a lot of coworkers who are USC fans and that created a lot of fun at work over the years.

Not to mention being able to drive to LA for a game and then beating them in the Coliseum…priceless…nothing in the Big 12 will ever be able to replace that for me.
-
DataUteParticipant
That is why a fall break trip last year centered around getting to LA for likely the last in a looooong time game there. Me and my son went and it’s a priceless memory.

Same for all the PAC12 schools. IMO every location >>> better than mid12.
The only three I might consider traveling to are the three former PAC12 locations
I can’t see the day where we will travel to the dark-ages states; the bookburning, censored state of floriduh, and repugnant of Texas included.
-
The Miami UteParticipant
Have you ever been to Florida? I know I’m going to get flamed for this, but that’s a mighty powerful comment coming from a guy in Utah, the state with the least diversity in the entire Union and a state that a lot of my friends think, wrongly of course, is comparable to Iran due to the influence of a certain religious group.

Yep, its kind of like the pot calling the kettle black.
I’ve been as far North as Jacksonville and south as Key West.
Miami alone five times.
Love kayaking the Everglades and flyfishing in the KeysLoved flats fishing around Rockport TX too.
Not worth it now IMO.
FWIW, I’m about five years out from moving west to the 5th largest economy in the world. I’m good with paying more taxes and rigorous environmental laws.

The Miami UteParticipant
Well, with all that, I know who you voted for last Tuesday. Have fun in the People’s Republic…

50K wow hit em where it counts.
Funny how the “governing” bodies have very little teeth anymore.
It’s like the risk vs reward with the insider trading thing. You get like a fine of 2-3 million on a billion dollar deal. There is no incentive to follow the rules at all anymore.

KellsoParticipant
Yeah, they have too many coaches for two years and get $50,000 fine. Our AD lets a little truth slip and gets a $40,000 fine. Nice equity.

Well, I will tell you that Big 12 Twitter, etc…is outraged at what they feel is a slap on Harlan’s wrist. Not to mention the fact that he won’t pay a nickel of it. To me, it’s just another example of the Big 12 needing Utah more than Utah needing the Big 12.
