But this feels like going into the Colorado game on Saturday is just like last year’s Arizona game.

Utah had just come off of a game where they were leading on the road against a team who went on to play in the national championship game and blew the game late. Then they were clearly deflated, had a bunch of injuries and they got blown out at Arizona.

I hope I’m wrong, but this has the makings of a blowout on Saturday.

      Go Utes, beat the Buffs!

Utah & Team Down South could both experience a let down game

Under what circumstances do we expect a win? Or are we basically just pondering how much we will lose by?

Hey I’ll be ecstatic if the team scores more than 2 touchdowns. It’s all about the little wins and moral victories. This team isn’t quite ready for actual victories.

**Also this post is sarcastic… Sort of.

If the team shows up with fight I’ll be happy. The way the season has gone it could go any direction in this game and the next three. Maybe Isaac Wilson steps up and surprises everyone.

It’s hard to realistically see a win against CO.

I know that it’s hard to see a pathway to victory in Boulder but let me try…for one, their OL is better than last year but is still resoundingly mediocre. Sanders still gets hit a lot and he also holds on to the ball for too long. In addition, their defense with the exception of Hunter, is really nothing to write home about (#68 in the FBS, compare that to Utah who’s #14). Looking at their schedule, they almost lost, at home, to North Dakota State, and had to go to OT, also at home, to beat Baylor. As far as their losses are concerned, they got their asses handed to them by Nebraska and lost, again at home, to K State. My take is that they still have a lot of holes that can be exploited and if our defense can keep us in the game it should be a close contest. I know that we’ll get to Sanders as he really isn’t very mobile and, again, likes to hold on to the ball.

That Baylor game was nothing but MIRACLES for Colorado. Hail Mary to get to over time and then a fumble at the goal line when Baylor would have won…

Absolutely…I was shocked to see them win that game. It’s been a charmed life they’ve been leading…

@MiamiUte I like your optimism. I think I am frustrated on the season and need to be more positive. Thanks for showing the possibility. If the defense does what they do there is always a chance.

No problem. Colorado is definitely not a juggernaut and eminently beatable. To me, they’re like a two loss version of BYU but with the exception that they have a couple of top-end skill players. Even if by magic they make it to the CFP, they’re going to get boat raced if they draw any of the top teams.

I had a bad feeling as well that the team will quit after that loss
