For me the last 2 years

1- QB: – nothing else needed to say here.
2- RB: expected more and we have no depth somehow
3- TE: can’t block and are not impacting the game. Especially now with BK out again
4- DE: again, told we have depth and we can get sacks at all.
5- DBs: no turn overs and constantly giving up space since they can only play zone apparently
6- Oline: never expect much from this group since they never live up to camp hype. Ever.
7- WRs: again. Told we have playmakers but hard to tell again with no QB that can hit them in stride. Singer is the real deal, so that helps. Anyone else?
8- special teams: Kickers are so inconsistent and we have zero return game.

DT’s? or are you lumping them in with DE’s? What about the linebackers?

Saturday was the first time since Tafuna was a freshman that the DT’s were absolute monsters all game long. And the Linebackers looked so much better going vertically all game instead of horizontally. But both groups have been average at best and below Utah standard the last 2 seasons.

        QB, QB, QB!

        Is Rising’s agent the MVP?

        Yeah, good point.

Barton has not been anything I was hoping for.

Special teams has been super bad, and could be blamed for the loss this past week with the dumb kicking to a great kick returner.

Cole Becker has been bad this year but Jack Bouwmeester (or however it’s spelled) carried us through the byu game

I think our linebacker play this season has been very poor. Bad reads, poor tackling, guessing instead of reading, etc. I think the injuries have also taken their toll on the athleticism of this position group. They just look slow and it is not just Barton. However, almost 100% of the fault on this teams is on the offensive side of the ball and I think the offensive line is the only group that gets a bit of a pass. All other positions groups on the offensive side have all underperformed tremendously. As for the OL, you can at least say that Fano and Lomu have been very good. The rest have been mixed. I think Micah Bernard has given us his all and that is all you can ask for but I am not sold on anyone else.

Oline has been the worst by far. Wildly inconsistent.

      QB mismanaged by the coaches.

      TE/ WR meh

RB Bernard being the exception for the whole offense.

      Special teams. Coaching again awful.

You just don’t know football, likely didn’t play. The Center and tackles have graded very well. The guards have graded well in run block but Moko was injured and struggling in pass block. The other guard was struggling in pas block a couple of games.

Not that disappointed by QB or RB play tbh. Going into the season any unbiased observer knew it was 1) highly unlikely that Rising would make it through the season uninjured, even if he was fully healed from previous injury (he wasn’t fully healed) 2) highly likely that our backups would struggle because one is a true freshman with a high schooler’s body, and the others couldn’t beat out Bryson Barnes and Nate Johnson.

RB – I’m not so disappointed about this group because MB did a better job than anyone had any right to expect, and the other guys were either freshmen or previously proven to be terrible running backs. If you are disappointed.

If you are disappointed in either of these groups, that is on you.

TE – This group was the most disappointing out of the offensive groups. Kuithe did his best, but nobody behind him did a damned thing. Is that their fault? Probably not. Whoever’s fault it was, it was a disappointing season for them. Yes, I said WAS. This season is over.

AD: If Harlan’s going to be on the field, why did he not jump out and tackle the BYU KO returner running down the sidelines. At least he would of had a meaningful outcome on the game. KW may have given him the game ball. I expect to see Harlan in full football gear for remaining games ready to help the special teams. Plenty of opportunities in the CU game to tackle Sanders or Hunter getting loose down the sideline.

Sanders getting loose on the sidelines? I mean, he can navigate a pocket but he’s not a running threat at all. In fact, and this is no typo, he’s got -79 rushing yards in his two years so far at Colorado.

The most disappointing position group is not even a position.

This list starts and ends with Coaching. Specifically Whit and Ludwig
