I’m new to posting here but love Utah football.
It’s a tough year this year but I’m still hopeful against Colorado. Here’s a couple of reasons why:
– We’ve played pretty bad this year and have really had a chance to win every game.
– last year we beat Colorado with 61 passing yards… our qb play has been rough this year but we’ll do better than that on Saturday.
– Colorado has improved but they still struggle on the offense and defensive line. Our D line is going to get to the qb
– our defense has been strong but haven’t created that many turnovers. We get 1-2 turnovers vs Colorado and we can win this game.Overall I know a lot on people are down on Utah. And that’s fine. Is been a crappy year. But I’ll cheering on the Utes tomorrow and I’m excited for the early game so my kids will watch it with me.
I’m hopeful for the future. Rose looked great until he got injured. Wilson has struggled but he’s shown he can be great and has a ton of potential. Win or lose I’ll be cheering on the Utes and I think being the underdog next year will help push our team.

I am hopeful because of our D. But Shadeur escapes the pocket on basically every play (he didn’t play last year – Hunter still had >100 yds receiving). Agree that our hope is for TOs.
Last year, Bottari was 6/10 for 61 yds. Glover had 107 rushing (gone), Vaki 68 (gone), Jackson 68 (gone), Money 18 (out). If Wilson is out (injury? mono?), the playbook is going to be even simpler. Offense will be absolutely inept/gutted. MB will be it and he will get dinged up with the 30-40 carries required of him (even though he’s best with 15-20).
CU crowd is going to be behind this team. At least Utah is used to the altitude.

Any link about Wilson with mono? I’ve heard it but no one has a source.

The betting line was 11.5. If Wilson is out that could go higher. Colorado will put points on the board. Don’t know if we can score more than 14 with Bottari. Colorado is playing for a CCG and we are playing to get the season over.

Colorado seems to be having that charmed season similar to our opponent last week. Thinking of their game against Baylor where after the Bear earlier missed a FG that could have almost sealed the game, a bit later the Buffaloes tied it on a Hail Mary on the last play of the 4th quarter. Then in OT, Colorado scored a TD and Baylor fumbled about a foot from the goal line (was admittedly a forced fumble, a takeaway not a giveaway).
Our defense is still sound, but our depleted offense will have a tough time in this one.

Hard to expect a big running day when CO leads the conf in sacks this year.
