I think he’s done being a Ute . He’s too young and immature.. coaching staff did him a disservice.
-
The Miami UteParticipant
It’s probably a combination of a number of things. One, he doesn’t have the experience to thrive at a top FBS level. Two, he’s probably not as talented as we were lead to believe. And three, you can’t discount the possibility that he’s dinged up. I’ve seen nothing in his skill set that screams “superstar” or even “star” to me. To me, all I see is “serviceable starter” after he gets more experience under him. If leaves after this season, good luck to him because I don’t see any top school scooping him up.
-
UtahParticipant
And four, he doesn’t make plays. You see so many WR’s running open and he holds onto the ball.
The team knows that better than we do. It doesn’t matter what his teammates do if he won’t throw the ball.

This is spot on my evaluation of Wilson. He is just not an elite athlete. Look what your offense did when he went out. Immediate spark. Wilson will end up in G5 or even the Big Sky at Weber.

I blame coaching. Always coaching.

Maybe the reports of him being full of himself are true.

“This beautiful boy”? I’m not sure where he could have learned that kind of entitlement from.,,

Itacoatiara22Participant
He sucked. Not on the coaching staff. Nobody seemed to even like him on the team. Heard he was a pretty big douche in the locker room.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Coaches started him. How is that not directly linked to the coach?
I really don’t know how you can cope so hard for Whitt and not see this is on him. His decisions.
-
Ute DubParticipant
Agree. Make the kid earn it based on merit. It’s seems like this didn’t happen here and it didn’t sit right with the team.

I noticed Rising smiling and talking on the sideline while Wilson was in the game. When Bottari came in, Cam put a headset on and was engaged in the game. Make of that what you will.
-
2008 National ChampParticipant
He was the only one left to be the intermediary between the booth and the QB? Bottari was wearing the headset before he went in.
If the roster is correct, the only QB left after Bottari is Dallen Engemann and we’ll probably see Tao Johnson run wildcat all game before he sees the field.
-
UteThunderParticipant
Bajakian is on the sideline. He is in the intermediary between whoever is in the booth and the QB.
-
NashvilleUteParticipant
If Bajakian is on the sideline, why would someone in the booth be communicating with the QB? Is there anyone in the booth if the OC is on the sideline?
-
2008 National ChampParticipant
There’s 3 or 4 people in the booth for each side of the ball. Usually GA’s or Analysts who watch for specific things and try to identify trends. Since Bajakian isn’t just the QB coach, someone has to be keeping track of what the booth is seeing and communicate with the QB’s like all of the other position coaches do.

I’m really tired of hearing the phrase “He’s a True Freshman” as an excuse for poor play and leadership skills. He just doesn’t have what it takes to play at this level and the team knows it.
