Headline “No. 12 Utah rolls into Stillwater and defeats No. 14 Oklahoma State at Boone Pickens Stadium” And then:

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how we got here. What an absolutely excruciating season.
10-3 at halftime vs Arizona.
9-13 at halftime vs ASU.
10-0 at halftime vs TCU.
7-7 at halftime vs Houston.
21-10 at halftime vs BYU.
21-9 at halftime vs Colorado.
17-13 at halftime vs ISU.
We would be undefeated with no change other than Rising at QB.
Sooooo there’s reasons why those scores and games have been that way outside of just the qb. Is it the main problem? Obviously. But the coaching has been s**t. The adjustments have been s**t. The handling of the entire offense has been s**t. The defense is exhausted. The locker room drama, fighting etc with the skill position players. There’s many layers to a season that COMPLETELY nose dives like this. Yes quarterback is #1 but to go from 4-0 to a probably EIGHT game losing streak to end the year is not on just one position.
While Baylor has won 5 straight. This upside down conference is sure baffling
I had Iowa State as my sleeper team but I doubt anyone had Iowa State / Arizona State as the favourites for the CCG with parochial school / Colorado ready to pounce if either or both falter. While at the same time the only thing keeping the two 20 year head coaches from being 0-16 in conference play is that one of them had to win when they played each other.
That game had all of the tell tale signs of the other losses as well.
Oklahoma State drops the starter back in he promptly goes down and scores on the soft zone.
Utah offense 6 plays -6 yards and punt. But it took 2:17 off the clock.
Then Okie state Van gets a sack but 2 and 18 turns to 3rd and 9 then first and 10 then pretty much touchdown. Two point success. 22-19 Utah wins after they get the ball back no time left.
Gundy has only been worst than Utah at managing games.
