    I know you’re joking but with the new roster limits and teams devoting more spots to the portal, the chances for HS recruits are getting smaller. Better to take the guaranteed spot for a year than decommit at the last minute if you don’t have another landing spot already set up.

        New Roster Limits: NCAA is introducing new roster limits that match or exceed current scholarship restrictions for each sport. With scholarship caps gone, most programs will be able to offer more scholarships. However, they must follow the new NCAA roster limits for each sport. For example, NCAA football scholarship limits will have a roster cap of 105 players, up from 85. Keep reading to see the full list of new roster limits for all NCAA D1 sports, including the current and new numbers
        
        Previously, 85 scholarships and I believe up to 120 players on the roster.

        @jshame17 is correct. Roster is reduced to 105 but all players can be on scholarship.

    That’s a huge get. He was leaning Ole Miss up until today. 5’10” and 180#. Hopefully he can add 15 to 20#.

      I think he changed at the last minute IF Utah offered him some NIL?! Nowadays, we just can’t assume recruits fall in love with Utah without it. Don’t get me wrong, some kids will go to Utah because of the culture, football history, and they really do like the program and find SLC awesome. However, Rising didn’t stay because he’s all in love with Utah football, but much of it can be attributed to NIL keeping him from leaving.
