Good news on King. It’s a meh for me on Ryan. Was not impressed.

Opposite for me…Ryan was an underused playmaker while apparently King can only run a corner route even when he’s supposed to go post.

The TE position will be even more underutilized under Beck. Probably a good idea for the more traditional TE’s to transfer.

Bummed about Ryan, stoked for King, interested to see what the TEs look like next year.

We lose: Kuithe (ST), CJ Jacobson (T), Suguturaga (SR), Ryan (T), Lohner (SR)

Currently on Roster: Clegg, Bentley, Brusatto, Goodson, and King

Unless I’m mistaken, wasn’t Clegg recruited to play DE .

But yeah, this one sucks more than most as Ryan and King would’ve made for a good TE room this upcoming season

Bummed for Ryan. I thought he looked good in the limited reps. It’s frustrating because we really didn’t get a good glimpse at our TEs and WRs due to a really poor passing attack. I’m interested to see how they’ll use TEs.

I’m a little surprised about King, honestly. He clearly wasn’t happy with how little he was used this season.

Same here Larry. I talked with his family while walking out of the ASU game, and momma King was not happy about the situation at the time.

Given who we currently have, maybe he figured he would be in line to be the starter. He could have had a good talk with Beck as well. I still don’t know how the TE is utilized in Beck’s offense. Doesn’t seem like we would use them the same way as Ludwig did, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

King is a good fit for Beck’s offense. Hybrid TE/WR you can spread out, move inside, good blocker. New Mexico did throw to the TE a decent amount. Clearly WRs are the primary pass targets, some RB. Very curious to see who Beck gets in his QB room. Guarantee the QB room comprises 2-3 or more guys with the similar run, pass, option body stature to plug and play. Beck’s QB last season had 1,166 rushing yards. QB throws 15-20 passes a game. No more mishmash of QBs with varying skill sets. Really a modern day KW kind of an offense. QB is every bit a RB as he is a passer. Kind of surprised Rose went in the TP, he would be a possible good fit for Becks offense, but maybe it wasn’t something he was interested in.
